Field Trip Photos

We go on field trips during summer, winter, and spring break. Field trips include the Science Centre, Corn-maze, Southland Leisure Centre, Heritage Park, Stampede Breakfasts, Fire Stations, Library Programs, Bird Sanctuary, Pet Land, Wading Pools, Splash Parks, numerous Parks around the City, and many more!
Science Center
The kindergarten children exploring tactile play and creating stories through finger painting!
Corn Maze
The children are each looking into a mirror and observing themselves very carefully! This arts activity was planned to encourage children to develop a healthy sense of self-awareness and self-expression.
Children's Storybook Painting
This is a collaborative story book our group of kindergarten children painted together. The story is a twist on Little Red Riding Hood. The staffs discussed how the children would like to tell their own version of the story, and every child's idea was put into place. The characters that appear in the story are named after the children. We worked on it very hard for several days to complete, please enjoy!
Visiting the Senior Center
We have a partnership with the community Senior Centre where the children visit a couple times throughout the year to engage in interactive programs with the seniors. Today, the children have prepared a song & dance performance for the seniors!
Semi-Annual Talent Market
The Talent Market is a celebration day for children to pick a number of toys and school supplies such as balls, barbies, hockey sticks, shopkins, pokemon cards, markers, sketchbooks, etc. with the talents they have earned each semester. The talent points are secretly recorded by the staff when they see children participate in the daily programs, respects others, follows rules, demonstrates kindness and overall when positive behaviours are observed.

The children purchase a number of toys with the talents they received (fake paper money). This is the children's favourite part each semester! The Talent Market is held semi-annually on December and June (all costs included).
Fire Station Tour
We went on a fun field trip to the community Fire Station on PD day. Children got to interact with the firefighters, ask questions, learn about safety and received goodies!
Leaf Art
Children making beautiful leaf art from the leaves we collected together at the community park!
Play-Doh City
The children in Kindergarten are building a grand city out of Play-Do! As well as playing housekeeping and cooking colorful plates.
Nature Sculpture
Children making one big sculpture as a group from the natural materials we collected outdoors during our nature walk in the community.
Half-Portrait Painting
Children painting a half-portrait of themselves by looking at a printed photo! Helping to build hand-to-eye coordination, visual development, and self-expression.
Found Objects Sculpture
Children making individual sculptures out of found objects and loose materials such as pine cones, rocks, tree barks, yarns, popsicle sticks, paper tissues, etc.
